As everyone knows (I think) my brother, Blake, got married on August 8 at the Oakland Temple. I hung out with my little cousins and some other friends outside while they did their thing and then took a MILLION pictures. My cheeks are still recovering. I don't have a ton of pictures, but here are a few we took while we were hangin out and a few from the reception that my friend took.

Church today was quite the ordeal. Getting the kids ready wasn't bad, they're pretty well-behaved and kept me from being too irreverent.. haha. The interesting part was being in the nursery with 13 small children, ages 2-4, and trying to get them all to do what I wanted them to do. Oh, and Olivia (my youngest cousin) was in there with me and wouldn't let go of my necklace or my skirt, depending on whether I was sitting or standing. It made it a bit more difficult.

About 3 minutes ago I decided to make a new blog devoted entirely to music because I post too many songs on here I think. And I've totally been holding back, haha. Here's the link to the new blog. I'll start putting stuff up soon...
“What I’m saying.. is.. I think maybe the best things, the richest things, aren’t supposed to come easily. And sometimes the moments that make the most sense happen when everything else doesn’t…”

There are times in life
when we are called to be bridges,
not a great monument spanning a distance
and carrying loads of heavy traffic,
but a simple bridge to help one person
from here to there
over some difficulty
such as pain, grief, fear, loneliness,
a bridge which opens the way
for ongoing journey.
When I become a bridge for another,
I bring upon myself a blessing,
for I escape from the small prison of self
and exist for a wider world,
breaking out to be a larger being
who can enter another’s pain
and rejoice in another’s triumph.
I know of only one greater blessing
in this life, and that is,
to allow someone else
to be a bridge for me.
