RIGHT NOW

  • I am a new person.
  • I will be happy because I choose to be.
  • I won't allow myself to fall subject to eloquence and flattery.
  • I will not let anyone dictate my emotions.
  • I will be studious.
  • I will do my best in everything.
  • I will not do anything that I don't want to do.
  • I will be focused.
  • I will still have a lot of fun. ...of course. Heh.
  • There's other stuff I can't remember right now, but basically I'm a new me that is going to be awesome all by myself.

Summer

This summer has been pretty swell all around. Working from 730am - 4pm every day (sometimes more if I read my clock wrong...), hanging out at Alex's multiple times a week, having a 'usual' at Yogurtland, going down to LA/San Diego to see friends and go to Comic Con, planning/prepping/participating in my brother's wedding, falling (physically and otherwise), babysitting anytime someone asked, paying  bills, worrying endlessly about future plans, and countless other meaningless things.

Amazingly, even though I worked every day and was somewhat stressed out it was a good summer. I'm usually really ready to get back to Provo and get back into the routine of school, work, and friends but this time I'm indifferent. It'll be cool to start up where I left off, but at the same time I really liked being at home and not having much responsibility. There are two main reasons I'm excited to get back. 1) My AWESOME new apt and all the cool stuff my mom and I bought to pimp it out. 2) All my guy friends from freshman year are coming back from their missions after two years and I've missed them sooo much. Some more good things? I'm getting into the good classes for my major and I love them. I really enjoy my job and I like everyone I work with. Oh and my apt is freakin' sweet and Dannielle is only a wall away again. :)

I'm allowing myself one super-fun thing per month. Skydiving in 3 weeks, LA (Disneyland/Fright Fest) in October for Dannielle's birthday (YAYYY!), and I haven't decided what epic thing I'm doing in Nov. or Dec. yet. If anyone has and ideas let me know. I'd like to just go back to LA every month and stay for about a month but I doubt that would go over well with the whole "school" and "job" thing... pfff.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Now I Have A Most Embarrassing Moment

Yes. I dropped a cake. It was bad. Everyone laughed and the photographer was clicking away so there will be plenty of pictures of me bright red holding an empty cake platter.

And then here's Sarah and I in our matching dresses. Aw.

REAL Wedding Pictures!

The photographer was amazing! Her website is http://www.oneboyonegirl.com/ . She is awesome! These are some of the photos she took and you can see a bit of the reception area in Peyton's backyard. Gorgeous. Peyton and her mom did all the decorating.

The Wedding - Pictures

As everyone knows (I think) my brother, Blake, got married on August 8 at the Oakland Temple. I hung out with my little cousins and some other friends outside while they did their thing and then took a MILLION pictures. My cheeks are still recovering. I don't have a ton of pictures, but here are a few we took while we were hangin out and a few from the reception that my friend took.

My little cousins had my camera most of the time, so about 150 of the pictures on my camera are of flowers or someone's eye.

I gave Sarah and Meg manicures while we were chillin. And painted a little heart on Olivia's thumb. She really liked it but refused to take a picture, haha.

Isn't her dress gorgeous?! I love it. It's so soft too, haha.

Aw.

I'll find some more later.

Blake would probably dislike it if he knew I put this up. Bahahaha
Can you tell we're related? :)

Strange Girls

Bonker Ball

Church today was quite the ordeal. Getting the kids ready wasn't bad, they're pretty well-behaved and kept me from being too irreverent.. haha. The interesting part was being in the nursery with 13 small children, ages 2-4, and trying to get them all to do what I wanted them to do. Oh, and Olivia (my youngest cousin) was in there with me and wouldn't let go of my necklace or my skirt, depending on whether I was sitting or standing. It made it a bit more difficult.

Anyway

There were eight girls and five boys that two other women and I got to try and keep track of for two hours in a confined space. When I was 3-4 and was in the nursery my dad was in charge for a time. Since then he's told us stories about us and our peers at a young age and the time he spanked one little boy (Ryan Lewis... hahaha) for pushing me down and how he used to play "Bonker Ball" with all the kids. Bonker Ball is an interesting game and quite simple. It always seemed kinda mean to me, but funny, so I laughed. I never thought the day would come when I would play "Bonker Ball" with someone else's child repeatedly.

Here's the game:
All the kids line up in one row in front of you. You have a big plastic ball, throw it at one of their foreheads and yell "BONK!" every time. The kid falls backwards, laugh hysterically, and anxiously awaits their turn to be "bonked" next.

Sounds fun, huh?

Oh, it is. Hahahahaha. The greatest game ever. With little kids, especially. Mua ha ha.
